J. Avery Head

J. Avery Head,  has directed the Syracuse Scottish Pipe Band for a number of years and has played solo as well as with the pipe band in many events, including performances with the Syracuse Children’s Chorus, the Syracuse Brass, at “Beetle-cuse” last Spring any many bagpipe competitions.  He has played at many weddings, funerals and  local parades.  He has taught piping as an avocation and some of his students have had very successful piping careers.  (He taught Chemistry at Liverpool High School as a career).  His hobbies also include playing French Horn, Alphorn and Piano.
